Composer Matthew Sklar and Lyricist / Bookwriter Chad Beguelin have been writing musicals together for over thirteen years. They received Tony Award Nominations and Drama Desk Award Nominations for their work on “The Wedding Singer” which debuted on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theater. Other credits include “The Rhythm Club” (Signature Theater) and “Wicked City” (American Stage Company, Mason Street Warehouse) and various projects for Disney.
Together they are the recipients of The Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation Award, The Edward Kleban Award for Outstanding Lyric Writing and the Gilman & Gonzalez-Falla Musical Theater Award.
